BOWWOWのフィールドトラウザーズ。

1943年に米陸軍で導入されたM-1943フィールドユニフォームのトラウザーズを背景にした一本。第二次世界大戦中、従来の複数の戦闘服を整理し、さまざまな気候にレイヤリングで対応する考え方の中で生まれたM-43は、その後の米軍フィールドウエアにも大きな影響を与えた。

戦後は軍放出品として若者やアウトドア、ワークスタイルに取り込まれた衣類の中でも、注目されることが少なかったこのトラウザーは、いま注目を浴び始めている。BOW WOWではオリーブの褪色と穿き込んだ生地の落ち感、リペアを加え、資料的な軍パンではなく日常で育った一本として仕上げている。

This piece features the M-1943 field uniform trousers, which were adopted by the U.S. Army in 1943. Developed during World War II as part of an effort to streamline the existing array of combat uniforms and create a layering system to adapt to various climates, the M-43 had a significant influence on subsequent U.S. military field wear.
Among the military surplus garments that were adopted by young people, outdoor enthusiasts, and those seeking workwear styles after the war, these trousers—which had previously received little attention—are now beginning to garner attention. At BOW WOW, we’ve added olive fading, a relaxed drape from well-worn fabric, and repairs, finishing them not as a historical military item but as a pair of pants that have been worn and loved in everyday life.
