1940〜50年代のアメリカンスウェットに見られる、前後の襟元にV字ガゼットを備えたダブルVスウェットを背景にした一着。汗止めや伸縮補助という実用から生まれたディティールは、現在では古いスウェットを象徴する要素としてヴィンテージ市場で愛されている。

日焼け、洗濯、摩擦、汚れ、、、繰り返す洗濯により重ねた乾いた退色を大きな特徴としており、本作は特に加工感にフォーカスを当て製作した意欲作。BOW WOWでは整い過ぎた復刻ではなく、持ち主の生活や用途が後から服に刻まれたような状態を先に想定し、その“時間の痕跡”まで含めて新品のプロダクトとして組み立てている。

This piece is inspired by the “double-V” sweatshirts from the 1940s and 1950s, featuring V-shaped gussets at the front and back of the collar. Originally designed for practical purposes—such as preventing sweat from soaking through and aiding stretch—these details are now cherished in the vintage market as iconic elements of classic sweatshirts.
Sun exposure, washing, friction, and dirt—the significant fading caused by repeated wash cycles is a defining characteristic of these pieces, and this item is an ambitious creation crafted with a particular focus on that weathered look. At BOW WOW, rather than producing overly polished reproductions, we envision a garment that appears as though the owner’s lifestyle and usage have already left their mark on it, and we assemble it as a brand-new product that incorporates even those “traces of time.”
