アメリカのワーク／アスレチックウエアから発達したフーデッドスウェットを背景にした一着。寒い現場や競技の待機時に頭部まで覆える実用品として広まり、戦後はカレッジ、スケート、ヒップホップなど幅広いユースカルチャーの基本服になった。

日焼け、洗濯、摩擦を重ねた乾いた退色がこのアイテムの大きな特徴として読み取れる。BOW WOWでは整い過ぎた復刻、華美に製品加工された製品ではなく、持ち主の生活や用途が後から服に刻まれたような状態を先に想定し、その“時間の痕跡”まで含めて新品のプロダクトとして組み立てている。

This piece draws inspiration from the hooded sweatshirt, which evolved from American work and athletic wear. It gained popularity as a practical garment that could cover the head while working in cold conditions or waiting between competitions, and after World War II, it became a staple of a wide range of youth cultures, including college, skateboarding, and hip-hop.
The dry, faded appearance resulting from sun exposure, repeated washing, and friction is a defining characteristic of this item. At BOW WOW, rather than producing overly polished reissues or elaborately finished garments, we envision a state where the owner’s lifestyle and usage are imprinted on the garment over time.
