20世紀のアメリカに残るワーク、ミリタリー、スポーツウエアの実用品と、その後の古着文化を背景にしたプロダクト。新品時の完成度よりも、誰かが長く使ったことで生まれる色、皺、汚れ、補修の痕跡に価値を見出している。

カタログ画像からも、縫い目や端部の擦れ、身体の動きに沿った色の濃淡など、長年使われた古着にしか生まれない不均一な表情がこのアイテムの大きな特徴として読み取れる。整い過ぎた復刻ではなく、持ち主の生活や用途が後から服に刻まれたような状態を先に想定し、その“時間の痕跡”まで含めて新品のプロダクトとして組み立てている。

モールスキンは密に織られたコットン生地で、表面をわずかに起毛させた滑らかな手触りと耐久性が特徴。1900年代初頭に欧州ワークウェアからアメリカに流れ着いた素材をジップ式ワークシャツへ置き換えたアメリカの偉大な痕跡を、ハトメファスナー含むオールドディティールで再現したワークシャツ。

Products inspired by the practical workwear, military wear, and sportswear that remain from 20th-century America, as well as the vintage clothing culture that emerged afterward. The value lies not in the perfection of a brand-new item, but in the color, wrinkles, stains, and traces of repairs that result from long-term use by someone.
Even from the catalog images, you can see that the key characteristic of these items is the uneven patina—such as worn seams and edges, and variations in color depth that follow the contours of the body—which can only be found in vintage clothing that has been worn for many years. Rather than creating overly polished reproductions, we first envision a state where the owner’s lifestyle and usage have been etched into the garment over time, and then assemble these items as new products that incorporate even those “traces of time.”
Moleskin is a tightly woven cotton fabric characterized by a smooth texture—achieved by lightly brushing the surface—and durability. This work shirt recreates a significant chapter in American history—the adaptation of a material that made its way from European workwear to the United States in the early 1900s and was incorporated into zip-front work shirts—using vintage details, including grommet fasteners.
